Underlying Problem Requiring Brachytherapy:
Brachytherapy is the process of implanting small, radioactive "seeds" that emit a particular dose of radiation. This procedure is usually used when the option of surgery or other forms of radiation therapy are not practical or too high risk. There are numerous conditions that may be treated with brachytherapy. Many of these conditions include various types of cancer. Some of these cancers are:

• Parathyroid Cancer
• Cervical Cancer

Recovery from Brachytherapy:

The recovery period is typically shorter with brachytherapy than with traditionally radiation therapy. However, depending upon the type of cancer being treated, there can several side effects with this treatment. Some are short and temporary, while others maybe more permanent.
