To do this, the patient relaxes for a moment after urinating and then goes again.

Those who experience numbness in the legs, feet, or buttocks; fever, chills, and abdominal pain; or blood in the urine or burning sensations with urination should call their doctor immediately. It is also recommended to see the doctor if the incontinence is getting worse instead of better or if it is interfering with the patient's normal daily life.

In addition to lifestyle changes, some patients may be helped through medicines or surgical interventions. In many cases, male incontinence is a sign that the prostate has become enlarged, and treating the prostate will fix the incontinence issue, as well.
